Ogni disco ha una storia, la sua storia.
Nel settembre 2014 Tein, un ex raver che produce dischi a Bristol, mi ha chiesto di fare uscire un vinile per la sua etichetta (VPS), specializzata in dance elettronica. Armato di gameboy, ho iniziato a mettere insieme della tracce, dieci in tutto, per farne un LP. Ma pochi giorni prima di Natale, a lavoro quasi ultimato, qualcuno si è introdotto nel mio appartamento e ha arraffato dell'hardware a muzzo. Mi è stato sottratto quasi tutto l'armamentario a 8 bit, tra cui anche le cartucce su cui c'erano le dieci tracce nuove... Tanta fatica andata in fumo nel giro di pochi minuti. Il tempo per un topo d'appartamento di non capire un cazzo e portarsi via cose di nessun valore economico ma di gran valore personale.
Ciò che resta del progetto originario per VPS è contenuto in Kleptocracy: sette tracce a bassissima fedeltà, in pratica le pre-produzioni registrate in casa con un mio vecchio mac, a sua volta sparito nel furto, che per fortuna avevo compresso e salvato nella mail. Nessun mastering né post produzione. Solo fottuta post techno a bassa risoluzione. Buon ascolto e un grosso vaffanculo a chi mi ha rubato anni di vita e di lavoro.

Each record has a history, it's history.
In September 2014 Tein, a former raver producing vinyls in Bristol, asked me to release a vinyl on his label (VPS), specialized in electronic dance. Armed with gameboy, I startedputting together ten tracks to make an LP. But a few days before Christmas, almost completed the LP, someone broke into my apartment and grabbed my hardware. I was taken away almost all my 8 bit warfare, including cartridges containing the new tracks ... So much effort fucked up in a few minutes. The burglar did not understand a shit and tok away things of no economic value but of great personal value.
What remains of the original project for VPS is contained in Kleptocracy: seven lo-fi track, the pre-productions recorded at home with my old Mac, also stolen, which I had luckyly compressed and saved in my email . No mastering or post-production. Only fucking lo-res post-techno. Enjoy the tracks and fuck who stole years of life and work from me
